I have sensed God's hand on my life from the time I was a small boy growing up in a little town in southwest Missouri called Oronogo, just a short distance from Joplin.

I became a Christian at the age of 7, was baptized, and at age 12 publicly acknowledged God's call on my life to be a minister.

My first pastorate was shortly after I graduated from high school and in November, 1961 at age 21 was ordained into the gospel ministry by the McNatt Baptist Church of Neosho, Mo.

In 1995, while pastoring Gateway Baptist Church in Pinehurst, Texas my wife and I felt the call of God to come to North Dakota. We moved in January 1996 from Houston, Texas and were greeted in North Dakota with a wind chill of -80 degrees.

As God would have it we are in Hazen, North Dakota where I am pastor of the growing and exciting Hazen Christian Fellowship. The temperature has warmed up some since coming and we are grateful to God for leading us to such a church as this. God is at work here in a mighty way and we are doing our best to keep up with what he is doing.
